some times when my house is quiet and i'm watching my little one sleep or watching the gecko's eat out side our kitchen window, i realize that despite the noisey outside world i have peace...

being lazy and feeing guilty

So last night we went to a cook out to spend some time with friends. We were out late. Emma feel asleep about 11:00 and we got home about 2:00. I didn't get to bed until close to 3:00 and was up at 8:00. I'm ashamed to say Emma watched about 5 hours of television today. I was just feeling so lazy, the laundry didn't get done, the dishs didn't get washed and my kid was a zombie. I'm definately not 18 anymore and require more sleep to function. I'm hoping she won't really remember the times I just didn't feel like playing and will remember the days like we will have tomorrow. Splashing in her pool, bug hunting and a happy meal day are on the horizon.

CLOUDS

My mom, Emma and I spent the day at Talbot. It was absolutely beautiful! We had a great time colllecting shells, dancing in the ocean, lettng the wind and sun kiss our skin and watching the beautiful sky.

"{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember." (C)soule mama

in a perfect world...

i feel for friends that are going through turmoil with there children and their children's mothers. i wish things were easier and that you were allowed to be the father you are. i wish you were able to show and tell your kids how much you loved them. it takes a village to raise a child and it's so sad when one of the most important parts of that village are left out because of trivial nonsense.... i hope you are able to be the father of your dreams and that your children come home to your heart...
